Creating a festival at home
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a large number of the UK’s most popular festivals have made the difficult decision to postpone until 2021. If you were due to attend a festival this summer, there are plenty of ways you can recreate the fun of a festival at home (and with no portaloo queues!).
The playlist
The first step is to curate the perfect playlist with all your favourite artists. You could even download some live sets of your favourite bands from festivals they have played for a truly authentic feel. From rock and pop to jazz and dance, an eclectic playlist will keep your festival party going.
The food and drink
One of the perks of an at-home festival is saving money on expensive food! Make sure you have gas in and fire up your BBQ to enjoy the best festival food such as burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cobs and vegetable kebabs. Of course, all that delicious food will need to be washed down with something refreshing! For a treat, purchase a keg of your favourite lager or ale alongside our beer gas to deliver a perfect festival pint at home.
The outfits
Now is the time to go all out; get those sequins and face paint on and dig out your wellies for true festival fashion. You could even make your own bespoke wristbands for the day! Dressing the part will really add to the festival feel.
Relax at sundown
There’s no better way to end a festival than listening to a chilled playlist and sitting on a camping chair around a fire pit or chiminea as the sun goes down. Make sure you buy in some logs to keep the fire burning for a long, cosy evening.
Camping overnight
If you want to go really authentic, why not camp overnight in your garden? You can have the best of both worlds with festival style camping and home comforts just feet away.
